EXTENDED: Deadline for Filing Rezoning Protests
April 30, 2020
In an effort to protect Austinites during the coronavirus pandemic, the City of Austin has temporarily postponed all hearings, votes, and other actions related to its rezoning plan. Local residents may continue to file official rezoning protests at FileYourProtest.com until the city council’s final vote on the plan, which has not yet been rescheduled.
Once you file a protest for a piece of property, our legal team believes the City of Austin will be unable to legally rezone it without the approval of three-fourths of the city council (9 of 11 votes).
